Is it right for you?
What Daily View costs, and what it doesn’t do
No surprises: what you pay, what you need, and what Daily View is not designed to do.
The cost
Daily View is in early access. Our first 20 founding households use it free, with no trial and no time limit, as a thank you for being one of the first. We may ask for your thoughts now and then, and that’s all. It stays free for as long as we run Daily View, and if that ever changes we’ll give you plenty of notice. Some places left.
Households after that startEvery household starts with a 30-day free trial, then Daily View costs £10 a month. You can set up payment from your dashboard whenever you are ready, and nothing is taken before the trial ends. You will never be charged without agreeing to it first, and you can cancel at any time. The pricing page has the short version.
What you need
- A screen at your parent’s home. Usually a tablet, kept plugged in. An older one you already have is often fine. See Choosing a tablet.
- Wi‑Fi at their home. The screen checks for changes about once a minute. If the Wi‑Fi drops, it keeps showing the last update.
- A phone, tablet or computer for you, wherever you are, to make changes.
What Daily View doesn’t do
Daily View is deliberately simple. It shows the day calmly. It does not:
- Make sounds or give alarms. Nothing beeps or speaks.
- Manage or dispense medication. You can add a reminder to take tablets, but it cannot check they were taken.
- Send emergency alerts or detect falls.
- Monitor or track your parent. It shows information to them; it does not report on them.
- Make calls or video calls.
- Connect to other calendars such as Google or Outlook, at the moment. Events are added in Daily View.
- Show adverts or promotions on the screen. Ever.
If you need any of those, it is worth pairing Daily View with something designed for that job.
